Installing Elements

To install the extension follow the instructions below:

1. Backup your web directory and store database;

2. Download Elements installation package;

 3. Upload contents of the Elements installation package to your store root directory;

 4. Navigate to your store root folder in the SSH console of your server:

cd path_to_the_store_root_folder

run:

php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade

delete:

{your store's root directory}/var/di

then run:

php -f bin/magento setup:di:compile

finish with:

php -f bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

5. Flush store cache; log out from the backend and log in again.

Make sure the installation is done from under the FTP administrator account. Otherwise make sure to set 775 permissions to the store root directory after the extension is deployed.

 

 


Enable Nucleus Elements

Step 1

Before you get started you will need to enable Nucleus Elements. Navigate to Stores > General > Content Management.

Enable Nucleus Elements:


  • Make sure ‘Enable WYSIWYG Editor’ is ‘Disabled by Default;
  • Select ‘Yes’ for ‘Enable Nucleus Elements’.

Once Nucleus Elements is enabled you can start creating content!



Creating a Page/Static Block using Nucleus Elements

You can create pages and static blocks using Nucleus Elements. 

Creating a page

To create a page using Nucleus Elements navigate to Content>Pages and select .

Under ‘Page Information’ you will need to give your page a Title, URL Key, Enable store view, and ensure the status is set to ‘enable’.

Select ‘Content’ and then click ‘Show Nucleus Elements Editor’.


Creating a Static Block

To create a static block using Nucleus Elements navigate to Content>Blocks and select .

Under ‘General Information’ you will need to provide your static block with a Title, identifier, enable Store View, and enable Status.

Under ‘Content’ click ‘Show Nucleus Elements Editor’.

 

Using the Nucleus Elements Editor

 

In the Nucleus Elements Editor select the slide out to view 400+ Elements. All Elements are grouped by function and use.

The Nucleus Elements Editor has a drag & drop interface - all you need to do is select the Element you like and drag it on to the page. Once you’ve built out the page it’s time to edit your content.


Editing your content

We’ve added powerful editing tools to the Nucleus Elements Editor so you can do live editing as you create your content.

Editing your elements

In the top left hand corner of each Element you’ll see the following editing tools .

Use this to reposition your Element anywhere on your page;

Use this to view/edit the HTML for a particular Element;

Use this to duplicate the Element - duplicates will drop below the existing Element;

Use this to remove the Element from the page.

Editing an image

Any Element that has an image will have the following options available when you hover over the image.


You can use to add a link to the image or use to change the image.

Editing text

To edit text, all you need to do is click on or highlight the text you would like to edit. Doing so will give you access to the following editing tools located at the bottom center of the editor.

The editor button are as follows:

Saving your content

Once you’ve created and edited your content all you need to do is click ‘OK’ in the bottom right of the Nucleus Editor. This will save your content and you’ll be ready to deploy it on your site. Content is deployed as either a static block or page just as you would deploy them in native Magento.
